Bryan Noble Captured After Brief Escape From Courthouse

An 18 year old Collingwood man is back in custody after escaping custody at the Owen Sound Courthouse.

At approximately 12:07 pm today, the prisoner escaped from a prisoner dock in the courtroom and fled past court security to the public entrance/exit of the courtroom and out the front doors of the court building.

Responding city police officers quickly established a perimeter in the area he was last seen. The prisoner was apprehended by a plainclothes officer at approximately 12:20 pm as he hopped a fence in the yard of a residence in the area of 7th Avenue East and 7th Street A East. It was determined that the prisoner has also stolen a bicycle to assist in his brief escape.

Bryan Noble is charged with Escaping Lawful Custody, Theft, Mischief and Breach of Probation in relation to the incident.
