Bronson TAYLOR – Impaired Driving

(TAY TOWNSHIP, ON) – Members of the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a call regarding a vessel collision on May 23, 2015 at 11:53 p.m. When police arrived at the scene, the suspect from one of the vessels had gotten into a black pick-up with two other males and the left the area.

Police had received information from witnesses that the male suspect had been consuming beer before he drove away from the scene. The black pick-up was observed a short time later driving at erratic speeds of 130 km/hr to 135 km/hr and swerving on the road.

The vehicle was stopped by police at 12:18 a.m. on May 24, 2015 on Duck Bay Road in Tay Township. The male driver was found to under the influence of alcohol and was arrested by police.

Bronson TAYLOR (age 23) of Tay Township, ON has been charged with:

– Driving While Ability Impaired sec 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada

– Fail or Refuse to Provide Breath Sample sec 254(2) of the Criminal Code of Canada

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Midland on June 4, 2015.
