Brock Medley – Over 80

(HALIBURTON, ON) On Friday June 3, 2016 officers from the Haliburton Highlands OPP were on patrol in Minden, Ontario.

At 11:42 pm the officers observed a vehicle parked in the area of Fleming Road and Prentiskoka Heights. Upon further investigation a lone male was located sleeping in the rear of the GMC Terrain.

Upon speaking to the male it was determined that he was impaired by alcohol and that he was in care and control of the motor vehicle. The male was arrested for impaired care and control and transported to the detachment for breath tests.

As a result of the breath tests Brock Medley, 20 of Haliburton was charged with:

1) Care or Control While Impaired. CC 253(1)(a)

2) Care or Control Over 80 mgs. CC 253(1)(b)

Medley is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court in Minden on July 6, 2016. Medley’s vehicle was impounded for seven days and his driver licence was immediately suspended for ninety days.
