BROCHU – Drunk Driving

(LAKESHORE, ON) — The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Lakeshore was conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) initiative on March 6, 2016 at approximately 12:25 a.m. on Essex County Road 22 near Puce Road.

A white Chevrolet pickup truck approached the RIDE stop at a high rate of speed. It managed to stop quickly and entered the initiative.

Officers spoke to the driver and lone occupant of the vehicle who exhibited signs of impairment. He was arrested at the scene.

Louis BROCHU, age 53 of Belle River was charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Exceed 80 Milligrams Blood Alcohol Content. He will appear in a Windsor court on March 29, 2016 to answer to the charges.
