Brianne BRILLINGER – Arson, Theft, Threats, Breach, Etc.

(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County Detachment is investigating a suspicious fire that occurred at a Main Avenue East, Fisherville, Haldimand County, Ontario address.

On Thursday March 9, 2017 at 10:10 a.m., OPP, Haldimand County Fire Services and Haldimand County Paramedics responded to Main Avenue East for a structure fire.

Haldimand County Fire Services were able to quickly extinguish the fire, which was limited to the basement area, and confirmed there were no occupants inside.

The estimated damage to the residence is between $75,000.00 – $100,000.00.

The suspicious fire was investigated by members of the Haldimand County OPP Crime Unit.

Through the course of investigation, members of the Haldimand County OPP Crime Unit determined multiple offences were committed and successfully identified a female suspect.

A warrant was issued for the female’s arrest.

On Tuesday March 21, 2017, the female was located and arrested without incident.

OPP has charged 30-year-old Brianne BRILLINGER with:

Arson

Theft over $5,000.00

Uttering threats to cause bodily harm

Uttering threats to damage property x 2

Failing to comply with a probation order x 5

She was held for a bail hearing in Provincial Court Cayuga.
