(Selwyn Township, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a male driver that was stuck in a snowbank on Chemong Road at 10:00am on Friday. Police placed the driver under arrest for impaired driving and also seized marihuana inside the vehicle. An OPP Drug Recognition Evaluator (DRE) was utilized in determining level of impairment of the accused.
Brian Reece (age 61) of Selwyn Township is charged with impaired driving (by a drug) and possession of marihuana. The accused is due in Peterborough Provincial Court on March 12, 2015.
