(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TOWNSHIP, ON) – On December 12, 2012 at about 3:32pm, County of Wellington OPP officers were conducting radar enforcement on the Second Line of Guelph-Eramosa Township. At this location, Sgt. Ryan Martin spotted a southbound auto travelling well above the posted speed limit. Police clocked the 2000 Ford on radar at 120km/h in a posted 50km/h zone.
Brian Cowell, age 39 of Fergus has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. The vehicle was impounded and drivers licence suspended for 7 days as per statute. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph court on February 20, 2013 to answer to the charge.
