(Stormont) – On August 29, 2016 at approximately 8:52am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a report of a break and enter in progress at a residence on County Road 18, South Stormont Township (St-Andrews West). Officers intercepted an adult male at the scene. Further information revealed the accused was also linked to a break-in reported on August 27, 2016 at a residence on Strathmore Road, North Stormont Township. Jewellery, cash and a tablet were taken from this incident. Police recovered property related to both incidents (mainly jewellery).
Brent TRACEY (50) of North Glengarry Township was arrested and is charged with;
– Break and Enter (2 counts)
– Possession of Break-in Instruments (2 counts)
– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
– Fail to Comply with Probation Order (4 counts)
– Fail to Comply with Recognizance (2 counts)
He was held in custody pending an appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.
