(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) On Monday April 15, 2013, Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (O.P.P.) officers were dispatched to the Akins-Brewer lumber yard in Shakespeare where a break and enter was discovered.
Investigation revealed that sometime between 10 a.m., Saturday April 13th and 10 p.m., Sunday April 14th, unknown person(s) gained entry to the fenced yard by forcing open one of the locked gates. inside the yard, entry was gained into the main building supply shop where a large quantity of power tools was removed from the display area.
The building supply warehouse was also entered and rummaged through however nothing appears to have been taken.
The break-in occurred during an electrical power outage resulting from the ice storm.
