(Hawkesbury, ON) A break and enter in progress was reported at the Gravité store situated at 299 Main Street East in Hawkesbury on January 23rd just before 1 am. A passerby noticed the theft in progress and notified police.
Upon the officers’ arrival, the thief had left the premises.
It was found that someone gained access to the snowboard and skateboard business via the front door by breaking the window.
The Hawkesbury OPP Canine Unit responded to the scene and assisted the officers.
Officers were able to get a description from the store’s surveillance system.
It was discovered that the thief was a lone male, wearing a grey North Face jacket, black winter snow pants, a black hoodie, black baseball cap, dark shoes (skateboard shoes), black gloves, black bag with one shoulder strap. The suspect was approximately 5”9 – 6”0 feet, white male, unknown age and build.
The thief stole a bunch of Nixon watches from a display.
The matter is still under investigation by Constable Danyk Lafrance.
