Break And Enter To Secure Compound

(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) – On January 27, 2016, the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a break, enter, and theft incident.

Between approximately 6:30 p.m. on January 26, 2016, and 6:45 a.m. on January 27, culprit(s) attended a commercial property in the 6100 block of Egremont Drive. Once on the property, they trespassed, and damaged a lock on a gate. They entered the interior of a secure compound, and stole a quantity of aluminum rods and copper pipe.

The safest property is the one that doesn’t attract criminals in the first place. To avoid attracting burglars, make sure that views of your property are as unobscured as possible, paying particular attention to landscaping; facilitate night-time surveillance by using lighting to draw attention. Ensure outside lights work, and consider motion sensor lighting.
