(CALEDON, ON) – On Thursday, March 31, 2016 officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a Break & Enter that had occurred at a residential property on Innis Lake Road.
During the course of the investigation, police received multiple tips from the public as to the identity of the suspects thanks to a You Tube video posted online of the surveillance footage from the Break & Enter. As a result, police were able to successfully arrest and charge the infamous males caught on camera.
Joel Rene MONGRAIN, 34, from Caledon has been charged with the following offences: Possession Break In Instruments, Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000, 3 counts of Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000, Break, Enter dwelling house – commit indictable offence, and Possession of a Schedule II substance- Cannabis Marihuana – under 30grams. Joel Rene MONGRAIN is described as white male, 170 cm in height, 66 kg in weight, with a thin build, brown hair and hazel eyes.
Further, Leo COMPTON, 35, from Brampton has been charged with the following offences: Break, Enter dwelling house – commit indictable offence and Fail to Comply with Recognizance. Leo COMPTON is described as a white male, 170 cm in height, 73 kg in weight, with a medium build, brown hair and brown eyes.
Currently, the investigation is still on-going and additional charges are pending.
