(SCHREIBER, ON.) – On September 30, 2013 at approximately 4:00 p.m. members of the Schreiber Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a break and enter at a residence in the Town of Schreiber. An unknown person had entered a residence and numerous items were stolen.
While investigating the break and enter, officers received a call to assist the Canadian Pacific Railway to remove a male trespassing on a train. Officers attended the location of the train and removed the unwanted male. Further investigation found the male to be in possession of property reported stolen from a Schreiber residence.
The 29 year old male from Fort Severn First Nation, Ontario was arrested and has been charged with Break and Enter, two counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000, and Theft Under $5000 contrary to the Criminal Code. The male is to appear in Schreiber Court on February 27, 2014 to answer to these charges.
