(SOUTH-WEST OXFORD TOWNSHIP, ON.) – The Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to break and enter that had just occurred at approximately 7:43 a.m. on October 20. 2014.
Property stolen included a quantity of jewellery, cash, tools, alcohol, electronics, firearms and ammunition.
All the firearms, ammunition and some of the property have been recovered.
The 23 year old male, Charles SANTA, of South-West Oxford was charged under the Criminal Code of Canada with the following:
Break, enter dwelling house – commit indictable offence
Break & Enter a place and steal a firearm
Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
Possession of Prohibited or Restricted Firearm/ammunition
Possession of Firearm or Ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order
Fail to Comply with Probation Order ~ 2 counts
The male is being held in custody for a bail hearing on a future date.
The investigation is continuing.
