During the early morning hours of August 28th, Wingham Police were called to a break and enter on William St. The owner of the property observed someone leaving the area of his shed and when he inspected he noticed that a recent meat order had been stolen. As a result of the investigation, police arrested Michael Benninger of Wingham for possessing the stolen property.
At the time of the arrest on August 29th, Benninger was found to be breaching his probation. He faces charges of Possession of Property obtained by Crime, Possession of a Weapon/Ammunition while Prohibited and Breach of Probation. The property was recovered and returned to the rightful owner.
