Break And Enter Leads To Arrest

(BRACEBRIDGE, ON) – Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with the Muskoka Crime Unit is investigating a Break and Enter that occurred in Bracebridge on Saturday, November 5, 2016 just before midnight during which four people forced their way into an apartment and demanded cash. Police responded to the call for help quickly and arrested all involved people as they were leaving the residence.

Police were able to determine that the intruders were known to the victims and have arrested and charged 35 year-old Tina MERRICK of Burks Falls and 18 year-old Skylawn JOHNSON of Mississauga each with Break and Enter CC 348(1)(b) and Robbery CC 344(1)(b). Police have also arrested and charged 34 year-old Kurt DOWNER of Toronto and 33 year-old Sheldon CAMPBELL of Mississauga each with Break and Enter CC 348(1)(b), Robbery CC 344(1)(b) and Failing to Comply with Recognizance CC 145(3). All for accused people have been held in custody pending further investigation.
