(Champlain, ON) Hawkesbury OPP Constable Jean-François Leclerc was sent to investigate a break and enter that occurred at a Place Laval residence in Champlain between December 9th and 10th as the owners were gone for the weekend.
The residents returned home on Tuesday December 10th to find that someone gained entry into their house.
The investigation revealed that someone accessed during the previous night or early morning where the following items were taken:
Approximately $300 in cash
18k White Gold 1/2 ct Diamond earings
Play Station 3
Ray Ban and Guess sunglasses
DVD movies.
The investigation led to the arrest of Alex LAVOIE-POIRIER (20 yrs) of Metcalfe, ON.
He was charged with the following Criminal Code of Canada offences:
– Section 355(b) Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
– Section 348(1)(b) Break, Enter dwelling house – commit indictable offence
Some of the items were recovered by police and returned to the rightful owner.
