(ST.MARYS, ON) – On Sunday October 04, 2015, Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were called to a residence along Emily Street in St.Marys where homeowners discovered a break-in.
Investigation revealed that sometime between Friday afternoon October 2nd and Sunday afternoon October 4th, an unknown suspect(s) forced open a rear door to the residence to gain entry. The entire home was rummaged through and a large number of items were removed from inside the home and garage.
A vehicle would have been required to remove the items from the home as the theft included; four sets of golf clubs, a 42” TV, a stereo system, numerous speakers, a 100 cc Yamaha dirt bike, a men’s 18 speed Condor bike, electric tools, a tool box, 2 snow machine and 2 dirt bike helmets, as well as numerous other items. The total value of the stolen property and the damage incurred at the residence is estimated to be $10,000.
The Perth County OPP is requesting anyone having information about this break-in, or who may have observed suspicious vehicles or activity along Emily Street between Thamesview Cresent and the Grand Trunk Trail, to contact them at 1-888-310-1122.
