Break And Enter In Progress Results In Charges

(COBALT, ON) On April 22, 2015, members of the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) halted a break and enter that was in progress at an apartment building located on Prospect Avenue in Cobalt.

At approximately 7:00 a.m. police arrived at the scene where they located the fleeing suspect and recovered a large quantity of stolen property.

Norman SEDORE, 47, of Cobalt, was arrested and is appearing for a bail hearing on April 24, 2015 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Haileybury.

The accused is charged under the Criminal Code for:

· Break and Enter a place and steal a firearm contrary to section 98(1)(b)

· Break and Enter contrary to section 348(1)(b)

· Possession of Firearm contrary to Prohibition Order contrary to section 117.01(1) (two counts)

· Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm contrary to section 92(1)

· Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Weapon contrary to section 92(2)

· Fail to Comply with Probation contrary to section 733.1(1)
