(CALEDON, ON) – On Saturday, July 9, 2016 an officer from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was called to investigate a break and enter that was in progress, at a local business, at an address on Commercial Road. Police observed four suspects fleeing on foot upon seeing officers.
Video surveillance revealed that suspects gained entry by jumping the fence into the lot and began entering vehicles once inside the lot.
As a result of the investigation, three males and one female were arrested and charged.
Nicholas Robert HOWLETT, 19, of Caledon was arrested and charged with Break and Enter and Theft Under $5000.
Reginald Sidney HARDING, 21, of Caledon was arrested and charged with Break and Enter and Theft Under $5000.
James LEE, 19, of Caledon was arrested and charged with Break and Enter and Theft Under $5000.
The female, who cannot be names under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was also charged with Break and Enter and Theft Under $5000.
The accused persons were released from custody and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville at a later date to answers to their respective charges.
Police are reminding residents to contact the OPP Communications Centre immediately at 1-888-310-1122 to report any suspicious activity or suspicious vehicles in the area. Information such as suspect physical descriptions, suspect vehicles and direction of travel are useful tools for investigators.
