Police received a call from a male who reported that he has been looking after a residence for the homeowner who was away on holidays. When he checked the residence Tuesday evening in the south end, he found that the home had been broken into and 2 vehicles had been stolen.
The male located one of the vehicles parked in a driveway a few miles away and let police know. As police were attending the address, they located the vehicle being operated on the roadway with 4 occupants inside. All were arrested for being in possession of stolen property. When searched after arrest a quantity of a controlled drug and paraphernalia associated with trafficking was located as well as an imitation pistol. They were all taken to the station for further investigation and processing.
Police located the second vehicle parked in a school lot in the south end. After investigation police believe that only 2 of these males had any involvement with the crimes. 2 young offenders were released without being charged.
An adult male and a young offender were charged with Break enter and theft over $5000, possession of stolen property, possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
