On October 1st, 2014 at 21:16pm Elgin County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were dispatched to a report of a break and enter in progress at a Calton Line residence just east of Mt Salem, Township of Malahide.
Police were advised by the male homeowner that he had just arrived home and when he entered the residence he observed a male party standing in the kitchen. The homeowner yelled at the male intruder who then ran out of the residence through the rear patio door and into the back yard.
The suspect is described as white male approximately 173cm (5’8) tall
