(FORT FRANCES, ON) – On May 2, 2015 at approximately 9:44 am, officers of the Rainy River District Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop for a Highway Traffic Act infraction near Colonization Road East and Fifth Street East in the Town of Fort Frances, ON.
After speaking with the driver, determined the driver had been drinking. The driver, Braydon LYON, age 21 of Couchiching First Nation failed the roadside test, and was subsequently arrested. The vehicle was towed from the scene and impounded for seven days. The driver was transported to Fort Frances Detachment and subsequently charged with Driving with More than 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in 100 Milliliters of Blood following the results of Breathalyzer tests, as well as several Highway Traffic Act infractions.
He appeared in Fort Frances Court on May 4, 2015 to answer to the charge.
