Brantford Police Daily News Release – 29Nov2017

Type: Theft – Shoplifting

Incident: 17-45535

Location: Clarence Street

Incident: On Monday November 27, 2017 just after 1:00 p.m. Brantford Police Service received a report of a theft from a business on Clarence Street. Employees observed an unknown male attend to the store and conceal items under his clothing. The male walked out of the store without making any attempts to pay. Community Patrol Officers attended to the area and located the suspect a short distance away. The suspect was found to be in possession of the stolen property and was arrested without incident. In speaking to the accused it was also discovered he was bound by three court orders. The accused a 32 year old Brantford man is charged with Theft Under $5000.00 and Breach of Probation x3. The accused was released on a Promise to Appear with a future court date along with an Officer in Charge Undertaking with conditions.

Incident: 17-45570

Location: Oak Street

Incident: On Monday November 27, 2017 a resident from Oak Street reported that their residence had been broken into. Sometime during the day unknown person(s) broke into the residence through a rear window. Reported stolen was jewelry and electronics.

Type: Break and Enter – Commercial

Incident: 17-45361

Location: Elgin Street

Incident: On Tuesday November 28, 2017 a business on Elgin Street reported a Break and Enter. Sometime overnight unknown person(s) gained entry into the secured compound and stole copper wire.

Type: Theft – Commercial

Incident: 17-45766

Location: West Street

Incident: On Wednesday November 29, 2017 a complex on West Street reported a Break and Enter. Sometime overnight unknown person(s) entered into the complex and broke into the laundry room and the machines. Reported stolen was money.
