Incident: On July 30, 2015 Brant Conversation Authority officers received a complaint regarding an intoxicated man. Conservation Officers observed the accused driving a vehicle inside the park on the wrong side of a roadway. Shortly before 6:00 p.m. Conservation Officers stopped the driver and suspected the driver of being impaired. Brantford Police Park Patrollers Unit was also in attendance at Brant Park and assisted. A Community Patrol Officer attended and had conversation with the male driver. The 58 year old Hamilton man was issued a demand to provide by the roadside an approved screening device. The results were a fail and the accused was arrested and transported to the BPS. The accused provided two samples of his breath which is required by law. The results were a reading of 144 milligrams of alcohol in 100 milliliters of blood and the second reading was 134 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood. The accused is charged with Over 80 milligrams. The accused was released with a future court date.
The accused vehicle was impounded for seven days and his licence was also suspended for a mandatory 90 days.
A person can be charged with impaired driving anywhere – public or private property, in a driveway, a parking lot, a park, and in any type of vehicle such as a boat, an ATV, a ride-on lawn mower for example.
Type: Break and Enter (residential)

Location: Abigail Avenue
Incident: On the morning of July 29 a garage break and enter was discovered. Sometime overnight unknown person(s) entered an unlocked garage door. A vehicle inside the garage was entered as well and food items were reported stolen
