Brandon William GLENN – Drug Driving

(MUNICIPALITY OF GREY HIGHLANDS, ON) – On Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at approximately 11:45 p.m., a Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer stopped the driver of a Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicle for driving erratically eastbound on Grey Road 4 in the Municipality of Grey Highlands.

The driver, who showed signs of impairment, was arrested after the officer detected a strong smell of cannabis marihuana and observed a small quantity of marihuana in plain view, inside the vehicle.

The driver was transported to an OPP Detachment where he was evaluated by a Drug Recognition Expert Officer who determined that the driver was impaired by drug.

Brandon William GLENN, age 20, of Erin, Ontario, was charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle by Drug under the Criminal Code and Possession of a Controlled Substance Cannabis Marihuana under 30 grams under the Controlled Drug and Substances Act.

The accused is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on Thursday, January 29, 2015.
