Braeden ANTOIN – Unsafe Motor Vehicle

(ELLIOT LAKE, ON) – On November 22, 2016 at 2:46 p.m., the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) members were on regular patrol duties on Highway 108, in the City of Elliot Lake.

Police observed a northbound vehicle operating with a very loud muffler. A traffic stop was initiated and investigation revealed the entire vehicle to be in very poor condition. This resulted in the vehicle being towed.

Braeden ANTOINE, 18 years of age, from Elliot Lake, was charged with:

Operate unsafe motor vehicle, contrary to section 84(1) of the Highway Traffic Act

Fail to surrender insurance card, contrary to section 3(1) of the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on January 4, 2017.
