(ELGIN COUNTY, ON) – The Elgin County OPP responded to a report of suspicious people in the area of Woodland Ave, Central Elgin in the early hours of May 19th 2016. An observant citizen saw what appeared to be two males going through open garages.
Police were quickly on scene and located two males in the area and arrested them without incident.
Braden Rickwood age 19 of St. Thomas ON has been charged with:
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
Rickwood is scheduled to appear in St. Thomas Criminal Court on the 5th of July 2016.
The other male, a 17 year old youth, from St. Thomas ON has been charged with:
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
Police are reminding residence to shut and lock their garage doors, vehicles, and sheds. This is a crime of opportunity and can easily be avoided by residence.
The investigation is ongoing at this time and further charges are pending.
