(MUNICIPALITY OF MEAFORD, ON) – Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) report that at approximately 9:45 a.m. this morning, Friday, January 24, 2014, a body was recovered from the scene of the fire on Sideroad 6 in the Municipality of Meaford.
Police cannot confirm the identity of body at this time. A post mortem examination is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2014, in Toronto.
The investigation is continuing.
Sideroad 6 is open.
Investigators have also recovered five cats and two dogs that had perished in the fire.
