(CAMPBELLFORD, ON) –On September 6, 2015 at 5:41pm Northumberland Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a request for assistance from the Trent Hills Fire Department who were initiating a search for a missing swimmer.
On September 8, 2015 at approximately 12 noon, officers from the Northumberland OPP Marine Unit and the Trent Hills Fire Department located the body of the missing swimmer in an area bordered by Crowe Bay and Lock #14 of the Trent-Severn Waterway.
The deceased is now identified as Thomas CROWELL age 52 of Scarborough, Ontario.
Police do not consider the death suspicious in nature.
