Blyth Soon To Get Professional Policing When Wingham Police Expand – Not Downloading Of Costs From Wingham!

North Huron Council has taken the next step to expand the Wingham Police Service to Blyth and East Wawanosh by creating a Policing Advisory Committee consisting of: Reeve Neil Vincent, North Huron Police Services Board Chair Trevor Seip, North Huron Police Services Board Vice-Chair Bill Gregoriadis, Wingham Chief of Police Tim Poole, CAO Sharon Chambers and Clerk Kathy Adams.

This common-sense move is in response to skyrocketing OPP costs for Blyth and East-Wawanosh, and reports of unprofessional OPP officers that discharge their weapons downtown Blyth.

This pending expansion is expected to save Wingham taxpayers hundreds of thousands a year as Blyth and E-W taxpayers start to pay for the Wingham Police. This should not be seen as downloading of the cost of Wingham Police to Blyth and E-W as it would technically be an expansion of the Wingham Police.
