Bike Draw Winners In Perth County

(PERTH COUNTY, ON) The Perth County OPP in cooperation with the Perth District Health Unit is wrapping up their late summer helmet campaign by the presentation of two bike packages to two lucky young people.

The helmet campaign ran from the beginning of August until the middle of October. Perth County OPP officers had been on the lookout for young people between the ages of 12 – 17 that were wearing their bicycle helmets properly. When these youths were spotted they were given the opportunity to have their name entered into a draw for a $300 value bicycle and helmet.

One of the bikes was made available by the Listowel Canadian Tire Store for the young people of the Municipality of North Perth. A second bike was made available for young people in the remaining municipalities by Perth District Health Unit funds. This second bicycle will be supplied and made street legal by the St.Marys Canadian Tire Store.

On Monday October 29, 2012 at 4 p.m., a 13 year old winner will be receiving the bike package at the St.Marys Canadian Tire Store from a representative of the Perth District Health Unit, the Perth County OPP and the Store owner.

On Tuesday October 30, 2012 at 4 p.m., a 14 year old winner will be receiving the bike package at the Listowel Canadian Tire Store from a representative of the Perth District Health Unit, the Perth County OPP and the Store owner.
