(CENTRE -WELLINGTON TOWNSHIP, ON) – On March 15, 2014 at approximately 2:40 a.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers stopped a Volkswagen on Union Street at Tower Street Fergus. The male driver showed signs of alcohol consumption and he provided a sample of his breath into an Approved Roadside Screening Device which resulted in a fail. He was arrested and brought to the South Wellington Operations Centre in Rockwood for testing.
The Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) program was initiated and his motor vehicle was impounded for seven days.
Benjamin VANGALEN age 24 of Woodstock has been charged with Over 80 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on April 25, 2014 to answer to the charge.
