(MORRIS-TURNBERRY, ON) – Last night shortly after 7:30 p.m. Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Huron County Paramedic Services and Gorrie Fire Department responded to a fatal motor vehicle crash south of Belmore at the intersection of Howick-Turnberry Road (County Road #7) and Belmore Line (County Road #12).
The preliminary investigation has determined the driver of a Mazda 3 was travelling northbound on Belmore Line when he lost control of his vehicle. His vehicle left the roadway on the east side, struck a culvert and rolled several times. The driver/lone occupant was ejected from the vehicle.
He was transported from the scene to a local hospital however he succumbed to his injuries.
The deceased has been identified as Daniel GINGERICH, 37 years of age from Sebringville.
The roadway re-opened this morning around 1:00 a.m.
