(COLLINGWOOD, ON.) Officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged a motorist last night with drinking and driving offences as a result of a traffic complaint.
On June 26 2016 at 9:00pm OPP officers received information on a possible impaired driver last seen on Hume Street near Peel Street in Collingwood. The vehicle was located a short time later where a vehicle stop confirmed that the male driver was under the influence of alcohol. This led to his arrest and transport to the Collingwood detachment for processing.
Charged is 27 year-old Beau WILLIAMS of Collingwood, he is facing charges of driving a motor vehicle while ability impaired by alcohol and driving with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in blood. He is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Collingwood on July 19 2016.
