(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TOWNSHIP, ON) – On August 26, 2016 at approximately 7:30 p.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Traffic Management Unit (TMU) Officers were conducting a R.I.D.E. Program on Conservation Road, west of Watson Road, Guelph-Eramosa Township.
While speaking with the female driver of a 2010 Dodge van, police believed that she had consumed alcohol and a Roadside Screening test was administered which resulted in a fail. She was arrested and transported to an OPP Operation Centre for further testing.
48-year-old Beata PIWOWARCZYK of Mississauga has been charged with Over 80 Mgs contrary to the Criminal Code. She is to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on September 23, 2016. Her driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days and the vehicle impounded for a period of seven days as per statute.
