(MIDDLESEX COUNTY, ON) – Around 12:12 a.m. on July 8, 2016 Middlesex OPP responded to single motor vehicle collision involving a small bear.
A Subaru SUV was traveling west bound on Egremont Drive just west of Poplar Hill, Ontario and struck a black bear which was on the road.
The female driver from Strathroy-Caradoc, Ontario was uninjured. The bear died as a result of the collision. The vehicle sustained heavy damage to the front passenger side and the air bags deployed.
The OPP are reminding residence that bear sightings can be reported to the Ministry of Natural Recourses Ontario at the bear hotline: 1-866-514-2327.
