(DRYDEN, ON) – With winter upon us, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) would like to remind motorists to be prepared. Weather changes, particularly during with winter, can occur suddenly and dramatically in Ontario. Without warning, sudden storms and plunging temperatures can drastically change road conditions and reduce visibility. Motorists should ensure that their vehicle is prepared for winter driving conditions, check weather and road reports before you leave and adjust your driving habits accordingly.
The OPP reminds motorists and the public not to call the OPP for road conditions. You can now call 5-1-1 for interactive up to date road conditions anywhere in Ontario or call the MTO toll-free at 1-800-268-4686.
