Occurrence Type: Utter Threats, Fail to Comply Recognizance

Date: Sunday, June 7, 2015 – 7:30pm

On June 7, 2015 at approximately 730 pm officers responded to a Pentang St apartment in regards to a landlord tenant dispute. Once on scene officers learned that a male party had uttered a threat to harm the landlord, officers further learned that the male was currently bound by conditions of a Recognizance that he was found in breach of. As a result the 26 year old male was placed under arrest, transported to the station where he was held pending a bail hearing.

Date: Sunday, June 7, 2015 – 8:25pm

On June 7, 2015 at approximately 820 pm officers responded to a family dispute at an Adelaide St residence once on scene officers learned that mother and daughter were involved in a heated argument when the daughter grabbed a knife and threatened to stab her mother. Officers were able to arrest the female without incident, the 19 year old daughter was transported to the station where she was held pending a bail hearing. The female will face assault with a weapon and unlawfully in a dwelling charges.

Date: Monday, June 8, 2015 – 2:20am

Officers on routine patrol in the downtown core came across a female party that was known to be wanted on an a number of outstanding bench warrants.

The 28 year old female was arrested, transported to the station and held pending a bail hearing.

The female will face a number of charges including cause disturbance, utter threats, assault, mischief, resist peace officer, assault peace officer and fail to attend court.

Date: Sunday, June 7, 2015 – 2:00pm

Barrie Police arrested a 37yr old Orillia woman on the afternoon of the 7th of June on an outstanding warrant for mischief after avoiding police for close to three weeks. The woman, wanted for slashing the tires on both her ex-boyfriend and his new girlfriends car back in May, was located at her place of work after ignoring several requests to turn herself in. The female was charged with mischief under $5000 and released with a court date in June.

Date: Friday, June 5, 2015 – 7:00pm

On June 5th at approximately 7pm, two Barrie residents ages 28 and 30 years old were on Kempenfelt Bay, riding Seadoos and jumping through each others wakes.

Unfortunately as the pair were returning to the Tiffin boat launch, the Seadoos collided resulting in the operator being thrown from the vessel.

The male sustained minor injuries and was taken by EMS to Royal Victoria Hospital where he was later released.

Barrie Police are continuing to investigate the occurrence and witnesses are asked to contact the Barrie Police Traffic Unit or Crimestoppers.

Police are reminding the public to be careful while boating, wear your life jackets and be mindful of your surroundings.

Occurrence Type: Fail to Remain collision

Date: Friday, June 5, 2015 – 8:13am

Police received an early morning call for a fail to remain collision where a parked vehicle was struck on Chaucer Crescent.

Officers located the suspect vehicle a short distance away and were surprised to find the driver impaired by the consumption of alcohol due to the time of day.

A 49 year old Barrie male was taken to the station where he supplied samples of his breath in excess of 3 times the legal limit. When he sobered up, the male was released with a future court date.
