The caller thought that maybe the female had mental health concerns or possibly was on drugs. The female was opening and closing car windows, getting in and out of her car and making odd gestures and movements.
The caller’s concern was for children of a nearby daycare that would be letting out for lunch shortly. A high school was also nearby.
Officers arrived in the area of Burton Avenue and William Street where they located a black Lexus. When they approached the car the female tried to leave. After investigating further officers arrested and charged the 33 year-old Alliston female with Possession of a Controlled Substance, crack cocaine.

Prostitution/Extortion
On Tuesday October 13th, 2015 a 42 year-old Barrie man was travelling through the entertainment district of Barrie when he received a call on his cell phone. The man pulled over his Ford F-150 pick-up to the side of the road in the area of Mary Street and Dunlop Street to take the call.
Once his vehicle was parked an unknown female opened the passenger side front door and got into the truck. The female offered the male sexual favors for $100.00 dollars. The male told her that was not the reason he pulled over that in fact he was taking a call on his phone. He demanded that she get out of his truck several times.
The female refused to get out, demanded money and said if he didn’t pay she would be ‘calling someone’ to get his money from him. The male said he would contact the police if she did not leave. The male saw a Police Officer and flagged him down for help.
Police arrested, at the scene, the 27 year-old female, of no fixed address. She was charged with Stop Motor Vehicle for the Purpose of Engaging in Prostitution and Extortion. She will appear in Barrie Court in November.

Impaired Driver
Early Tuesday morning, around 12:46 am a uniformed officer was travelling eastbound on Dunlop Street West and Bayfield Street when he observed a GMC pick-up abruptly pull out into the roadway from a parking spot on the side of the road.
The driver kept speeding up and slowing down and was not obeying the rules of the road and often drove into the opposite side of the road. When the officer activated his emergency lights instead of the driver pulling over he simply stopped in the middle of the road.
After further investigation the 55 year old Barrie male was arrested and charged for Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle. The male has a court date on October 26th, 2015
While transporting back to the police station the same officer observed a Ford Escape stopped at a green light in the eastbound curb lane on Simcoe Street at Toronto Street. This was approximately 1:00 am. The driver was slumped over the driver’s wheel of the vehicle, unresponsive.
When the officer attempted to unlock the vehicle the driver ‘came too’ and the vehicle started to roll forward. The car travelled around 15 feet before the driver stopped the vehicle.
Further investigation resulted in the 36 year old Barrie male arrested and charged with Care and Control While Impaired-By Drug. The male was held overnight and attends court this morning, October 13th, 2015.
