In the early morning hours of April 21st, 2015 two suspects wearing masks, one armed with a knife, entered a south end Barrie gas station and robbed the clerk. The clerk was thrown to the ground during the robbery and the suspects fled on foot. The Barrie K9 unit was called in and conducted a track of the suspects, however the suspects were not located. The investigation is still on going.

A member of the Barrie Police Traffic Unit observed a female driver fail to stop for a stop sign and conducted a routine traffic stop. Further investigation revealed the adult female was currently on charges for driving while disqualified. The female driver was arrested and charged again for driving while disqualified and her vehicle was impounded for forty-five days. The driver was later released with a future court date.
