(Bancroft, Ontario) – The Bancroft detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police report that they have conducted 722.75 hours of foot patrol to date in 2013. Officers have conducted foot patrols in several of the communities in the detachment area and will continue to conduct proactive foot patrols.
Staff Sergeant Mark Wolfe states that foot patrols by officers is a positive way to reduce crime and ensure community safety in a cost efficient way.
