BAILEY Charged With Drunk Driving

(AURORA, ON) – On Sunday July 31, 2016, at approximately 11:05 p.m., Officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Highway Safety Division (HSD) – Toronto Detachment received a call of a collision on Highway 401 westbound express, near Leslie Street, in Toronto, Ontario.

Officers attended the location to investigate the single vehicle collision. The involved driver was identified as Roy Fitzgerald BAILEY, a 70 year old man from North York Ontario. He was not injured in the collision, but was arrested for impaired driving; he is now charged with:

Impaired driving – CCC 253(1)(a)

Driving with over 80 mg/alc in 100 ml/blood – CCC 253(1)(b)

In addition, anyone charged with driving with over the legal limit of alcohol is also subject to an automatic 90 day drivers licence suspension and seven day vehicle impoundment.
