(GODERICH, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers arrested a 31 year old male early Sunday, May 26, 2013 for Care and Control While Impaired. Officers received information from a witness just after 6:00 a.m. regarding the occupants of a green Jaguar drinking alcohol. Officers responded to a parking lot at the corner of Nelson Street and Cambria Road North and located three occupants inside the parked Jaguar drinking alcohol. The driver was spoken to and it was observed that he was displaying signs that he was impaired by alcohol. He was arrested for impaired care and control and was transported to the Huron OPP detachment for breath tests. He provided two samples of his breath; both were above the legal limit.
Axel WEBER, age 31, from Tavistock has been charged with Impaired Care & Control and Drive Motor Vehicle – Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol. He has a court date scheduled for the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on July 29, 2013. He received an automatic 90 day driver’s licence suspension and the motor vehicle was impounded for seven days.
