(THAMES CENTRE, ON) – On August 30, 2015 at approximately 2:50 a.m., the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) observed a possible impaired driver travelling on Gore Road, near Shaw Road.
Officers conducted a traffic stop of the red Pontiac car, and determined that the driver had been drinking alcohol. A roadside screening device was administered, and the driver registered a “fail”. The male was arrested, and transported to a Middlesex County OPP detachment for further breath testing.
As a result of the investigation, 21-year-old Austin PINCHES, from Zorra Township, Ontario, has been charged with driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in blood, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused was released from police custody by way of a Promise to Appear (PTA), and is scheduled to answer the charge in a London court on October 8, 2015.
