ATV Vs Vehicle Collision – Serious Injuries

(PETROLIA, ON) – Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is presently assisting the Walpole Island Police Service in investigating a serious injury motor vehicle collision involving an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) and a motor vehicle which occurred at the intersection of Tecumseh Road and Creek Road, Walpole Island First Nation.

On Friday July 25, 2015, at approximately 9:02 a.m., Walpole Island Police Service was dispatched to the intersection of Tecumseh Road and Creek Road, Walpole Island First Nation regarding a serious injury collision. An ATV was traveling southbound on Creek Road while a motor vehicle was traveling eastbound on Tecumseh Road. Both vehicles collided within the intersection causing serious injury to the driver of the ATV. Lambton County OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) was requested and attended the scene to assist in determining the cause of the collision.

61-year-old, Cedric Lee ISAAC of Walpole Island First Nation was transported to hospital by ambulance with serious injuries. The intersection of Tecumseh Road and Creek Road was closed for several hours. Investigation is on-going.
