(HOWICK, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are investigating the recent break, enter and theft of an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) stolen from a Salem Road property. Huron OPP officers were contacted by the owner of the machine on May 24, 2015 after he discovered his machine missing. Police learned the theft took place sometime between 8:30 p.m. on May 23, 2015 and 10:45 a.m. on May 24, 2015.
Those responsible attended the property and forced entry into the locked garage through a rear door. Once inside the garage those responsible located the parked ATV with the key in the ignition. In addition, they also found two jerry cans of fuel. The suspect(s) then started up the machine and drove away.
The stolen ATV is described as a green, camo coloured, 4 wheel drive, 2011 Suzuki King Quad L7P, 750 cc engine. The ATV is valued at an estimated $7,500. The stolen jerry cans are red in colour.
