(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – At 1:29 pm on June 14, 2015 the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was contacted in regards to an incident involving an all-terrain vehicle (ATV).
Upon arrival at the scene in the Burnt River area officers were able to determine that 9 year old Tyler MASSEY, had been involved in an ATV incident that resulted in the vehicle rolling over. MASSEY was transported via ambulance to a local hospital where he died of his injuries.
The OPP’s Technical Collision Investigation unit (TCI) attended the scene to assist with the investigation, which is on-going.
