A WFP supporter has reported that several cars in a Wingham parking lot were left unlocked, windows down with the keys in the ignition. Criminals will take advantage of the free ride and contents, if you leave your keys in the ignition. If you are victim of car theft, you may have to pay tow truck fees to have it returned, your valuables will also be missing.
Now the nice weather is here, criminals will canvas the entire town at night, checking virtually every vehicle to see if they are locked and to see what they can steal.
Please make sure you lock your vehicles and keep all valuables out of sight. If you are a victim of theft and/or vandalism, please report it to the police ASAP.
