Attempted Pet Abduction

(Cavan-Monaghan Township, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to an address on Huston Street in Millbrook just after 2:00pm yesterday. A resident reported that they noticed a person walking towards their dog that was tied up in the front yard. Immediately, upon seeing the homeowner the suspect ran back to their pickup truck and sped away. The vehicle was last seen westbound on King Street in Millbrook.

Suspect(s) description:

· Male driver

· Female with dyed blonde hair slicked back into a ponytail

· Black extended cab pickup truck (not a full size truck)

Residents are urged to keep an eye on their animals and to report any suspicious activity to police.
